I have pictures!

Today I went to Samantha's rehearsal. It was an okay time. Kind of awkward just since I didn't really know anyone other than Samantha and kind of Shane. I had taken my camera and new lens with me, but I forgot to grab my lens when I went in. When I realized that I didn't have it with me I figured that I left it at home. Then the rehearsal was over, or about as over as it was going to get before I had to leave for work, I got in my car and looked over. Of course I had brought my lens with me, I just forgot it there. I better remember everything tomorrow.

Amber is going with me tomorrow. I have to be there at 3. No, I really don't have to be there at 3, but I told Samantha that I would be there when she started to get ready. Then later I asked Shane how cooperative he'll be when I'm taking pictures of him and his guys. They're getting ready downstairs and it's amazing down there. It's like an old library in one part and the other part is like this red and black room with a bar. Good for pictures, I'm hoping.

Anyway, so I said that I have pictures.

These are Mandy's children as Mandy obviously knows. They're cute, and I take a lot of pictures of them. I just finished editing these pictures today. I had taken them a couple weeks ago, and I took so many that I just got burnt out on editing pictures in general for about 2 days.

Then, I got my new lens which was mentioned earlier...I like it, but I wish a tripod wasn't basically necessary for extra clear photos. That part is a little disappointing.

Miles came to my house tonight after I got off work. Now it's about 1:30 in the morning and he's sleeping on my bed. My twin size bed, mind you. And, it's really hot in here. We don't have the air conditioners in the windows yet, out of laziness, and I only have one window open and my door shut so there really isn't any circulation going on. My front window is missing a screen so I'm not about to keep that one open. Generally I would close the other window, too, but since Miles is here I'll leave it open. I feel extremely vulnerable when I have windows open or even my bedroom door unlocked. Ever since my dad let a drunk stranger in the house around 3am one night, I keep my door locked...for good reason.

I shall sleep for the moment, I guess. I will definitely write about how tomorrow goes...and I'll post pictures. I can't wait for some of these ideas I have in my head to actually be photos...ohh I hope it works out.

Miles and I went to get our marriage license yesterday. It didn't take as long as I thought it would. We went pretty early, though...around 8am. Okay, so it's not really THAT early, but I went to bed around 3:30 the night before. It happens, I guess, but I was tired. I came home, ate some food and took a nap for a couple of hours.

After I woke up I went Zales to get my ring cleaned and checked on. But, there were two people working, two people being helped, one person waiting and me. So, I left and went to Hobby Lobby. I bought chains and little blue and brown glass things for necklaces for my bridesmaids and some brown flip flops. I figured since we got dyeable shoes for the wedding and we aren't supposed to wear those in the grass since it is possible for them to run that I should get the bridesmaids some flip flops to wear during picture taking.

Anyway, after I got what I needed from Hobby Lobby, I went to get my hair cut. I like's not too much shorter, but there are some more layers and my bangs are shorter again. I just really need to figure out how to style it regularly. I've never been good at that.

I was supposed to take pictures of Sarah from work. I had taken some of her senior pictures in the fall and we were going to take more yesterday. It didn't end up being as nice outside as we had hoped, so that fell through.

Today I work from 1-5 at service then Miles and I are going to a Mustangs game. I wonder how many times St. Joe will try to replace the Saints. The Saints were the best though, so I don't know how long this team will last.

I really need to go to bed earlier.

I'm just tired.

I had ended up sleeping at Miles' house. I didn't mean to. I specifically said that I would be coming home last night...then I fell asleep. I woke up around 2am and was super hot. Probably how I would have felt over here the whole night. We don't have our air conditioners in yet. Anyway, so I woke up, drank some coffee, looked through the paper, Miles and I read Jeremiah 17-19 then I came home.

I ate a bunch of junk here...well junk plus grapes. I listened to a few studies on (I don't know if that's actually the website...there might be some dashes in there) and (I do know that that is the actual website for them). I also finished putting ribbon on one box of bubbles and cut out 3 inch squares of blue and brown scrapbook paper for the guest book. Now I need to cut more of those and find some paper to tape/glue on top for people to write on. Oy vey, this isn't going to be fun.

The good news is that Aimee is done with school. My mom and Aimee are going to help me with stuff now, so that's good. I look forward to having all of this stuff done.

This weekend is Samantha's wedding :). Woot. I'm excited for these pictures...I just really hope I do a good job. Friday I'll be going to the rehearsal before work. I don't know how much I'm getting paid for this, but I do hope to find out soon...? Oh well, I'm really not worried about it. I guess I'll ask her about it on Friday...or after. It's not something that one should be bothered with on their wedding day. (I'm far too nice to be a photographer, you see?!)

Anyway, tomorrow I am going to call Roderick. I turned in my résumé last Monday, so I figure that one week is a good amount of time to wait before calling back. (?) I have no idea. The thing wasn't in the paper today like it was last Sunday. I'm completely interested in this job, I just wonder if I'd be more of a hassel for a business now than anything else. I mean, in like 3 weeks or so I'll be getting married = need time off right away/change of all of my information/need time off a couple of weeks after that for the honeymoon. Eek. I wouldn't want to hire me if that was the case. We'll just hope that no one else applied (hahaha) and that they don't need help asap (hahaha). I's a slim chance. But, I'm praying about it! If I'm not supposed to be there then it won't happen, but if I am, it'll work out. That's always comforting.

Saturday I had planned on getting a lot done before going to work. Miles ended up calling me around 11 to see if I wanted to go miniature golfing. Sure, why not? So, we went golfing. Miles won, of course, but only by a couple of strokes. I ended up winning a free game at the end. That's the first time I've ever one a free game there. I'll probably forget that I have it and lose it by the next time we head out there.

Tomorrow I think Amber and I are going shopping again. Since our last attempt at finding some shoes for her failed, we're going to try again. I think we're shifting from brown flats to nice sandles or flip flops. I don't really know...all I know is that I am going to buy some shoes for Amber tomorrow!

I also know that I really need to go to sleep. I'm super tired, typing almost everything incorrectly (as a matter of fact, incorrectly was originally inforrectly. go figure) and I have a headache.

Friday, May 22, 2009

Oh, today.

I woke up around 10, I think. Maybe it was 11. I don't know. It was one of those waking up from a weird dream so I just kept laying down kind of going over it and in and out of sleep. Then I got up, made some coffee and sat at the computer for a bit. Miles called me and said he couldn't sleep because he didn't have to work tonight (Friday night). He came over, my mom and I started to put together some favors for the wedding. We ran out of ribbon, so Miles and I took a trip to Hobby Lobby (they didn't have many rolls of ribbon, but I bought them out...hopefully they get more soon), Game Xchange, and Wendy's.

Then I had to get ready and go to work at 5. I wasn't originally supposed to work tonight, but Trenda said her husband's nephew or something of the sort was having a graduation party in Liberty and she would have to call in. She also said that she would take a day of mine as it gets closer to the wedding if I needed the time off. I like Trenda.

It was super busy at work tonight. We had one cashier, like normal, and he's not the fastest (super nice, but he doesn't usually run a register continually, so no one's blaming him). Betty, who was supposed to be in ladies' wear, called in, so Sarah was doing jewelry and ladies' wear. I was checking people out at service for a large portion of the night. I didn't get a break, which I guess is okay, but not really if you want to follow the rules.

Tomorrow is a get together of sorts in Cameron at Miles' aunts' house. I think they're playing croquet. I was thinking about going, but after seeing the sink in the kitchen I've decided that I should stay and work on cleaning that out, working on more wedding favors and the little paper rectangles that will comprise the guest book and do some laundry before I have to go to work at 5. Also, my dad will either be coming home from the state track meet tomorrow or Sunday so I figured it'd be nice if he didn't come home to a sink full of horribly dirty dishes. I'm a good daughter sometimes.

Recently, as in in the past half an hour, I found a few workout routine things I tore out of magazines. None of them require any exercise machinery, so I think I will try them out. I don't know how much any of them will help, but maybe I'll acquire some determination somewhere and actually follow through. Probably not, but I can always hope.

Miles called me while I was at work. He left me a message asking if I'd go over there tonight. I had planned on it. Then Collin was at my house. Aimee and Josh are having a date night or something of the sort, so Collin is here with my mom. I helped with him for a little bit, and decided that since I couldn't get ahold of Miles (he had said in the message that he was going to be 'taking a nap' and since I don't think he had slept yet, that pretty much meant he was going to just be sleeping) and it was already past 10 that I would just stay home. I figured that if I did go over there I'd probably just eat some food then go to sleep for the evening. So, here I am. Watching episodes of NCIS from the latest season on youtube. Soon I think I will sleep...I desperately need to.

P.S. It is super hot in here.

I didn't take my measurements yesterday. The funny thing is that the whole thing was my idea, and I didn't do it. Story of my life...oi.
Anyway, so I took my measurements today. I invented a new's called "Love Handles." Mine are 34". I never know if I'm taking the measurements at the right place, so I just guess...I figure as long as I take them at the same place then it really shouldn't matter.

Also, I am going to not drink pop. Of course, yesterday I did drink some pop. But, not really by choice. You see, I generally drink a big cup of coffee after I wake up. Well we were out of sugar, therefore coffee was out of the picture. So, I tried to suck it up and just take an ibuprofen, but that didn't help anything. I ended up sharing a Best Choice Cola with Collin. We like to get them addicted to caffeine young here at the Pike household.

I'm trying not to eat a bunch of junk. Guess what I've eaten so far today...
Let's see, I've had that big cup of coffee that I love so much (I bought sugar yesterday!), 4 small Reese's cups (not the big ones), 3 packs of fruit snacks (they're addicting, okay?), a banana and now I'm eating some Ramen noodles.
So, the only acceptable thing I've eaten so far today is that banana. I did choose to eat these Ramen noodles because I know I won't eat very much of it...and because I don't have any lunch meat or I would make a sandwich.

I have to work at 4 tonight. I'm on checkouts so I'll get out of there around 9 instead of 9:15. There's not a huge difference, but it's always nice to be able to leave while there's still people in the store...employees, not customers.

I don't work tomorrow, though. That'll be nice. I think I will go out and look for bridesmaids gifts again. Maybe I'll go buy more paper for candle holders and the 'guestbook' idea that I have. We'll see.

For now I guess I should eat a few more of these mediocre noodles then get ready for work.

Blah blah blah.

I spent the whole day waiting for my lens to come in. Of course, right after I left for work around 4:45 the UPS guy dropped my lens off. What horrible timing. The good news is that it fits my camera and all is well. Now to learn how to use it correctly...I like to do that.

Miles and I made spaghetti, meatballs and garlic bread for Amber tonight. Really we warmed up the bread, sauce and meatballs and boiled the spaghetti. What a wonderfully easy meal to make. I also washed the dishes while it was cooking and after Amber left.

Amber and I decided that starting tomorrow (Wednesday) we're going to take our measurements weekly (only so often so we don't forget to do it). We're going to exercise and eat a little better. The problem with this is that I constantly lack determination when it comes to things like this. I think I can cut out pop fairly easily. I'll drink water, apple juice and tea. Maybe I can eat less fried food...but I doubt it. I could always think about going and buying some apples, bananas and grapes to eat for snacks. I can try to find ways to cook foods I like in healthier ways. All I know is that I want to be comfortable in shorts and my bathing suit this summer. I don't know how hard this will be.

How long should I wait before calling Roderick about the job? One week? I hope, because that's what I'm planning on. I think I'll call on Monday and see if the position is still open and if they've had a chance to look over my résumé. I just worry about trying to find a job now since I'll be getting married so soon. It's just like "Hey, hire me. But, in about 2 weeks I will need a Thursday and Friday off. Then all of my information is going to change. Then in about 2 more weeks I'll need about a week off for my honeymoon. Okay? Okay. Good."
I don't think it'd be that easy.

Miles asked me why I write blogs. He asked me who reads it. I said, "Mandy and Megan, I think." He says, "Can't you just talk to them?"
Well, yes, I could. But, I just like to type, you see. I like to write non sense and complain about Kmart.

I know I don't need to blog. I really don't have anything important to say. I just like to blab and babble and go on and on about nothing. I also like to post pictures, graphics, videos and verses. And apparently I like to talk about myself. I wonder how many sentences I write start with "I."

Oh, well. I'm going to bed. No work tomorrow for me so the day will be filled with figuring out my new lens and watching Collin. He'll be here again tomorrow, I think.

Two in one day?!

I do really think that I'll get to bed fairly early tonight. It's currently 11:30 and I'm super tired.

I did get quite a bit done today. Collin was here today so that slowed me down a bit when getting ready, but it was alright. First I ran to Kmart to ask Wanda if it would be okay if I used her as a reference on my résumé. She said yes, of course. Then I went to the bank to deposit $380 from graduation/taking pictures. I like to deposit must less depressing than withdrawing money. Next I met Amber at Arby's for lunch. Tomorrow is her birthday so I paid. After that Amber came with me to drop off the résumé at Roderick and to pick up the lighters and Miles' ring. I meant to drive her back to her car at Arby's so we could then head up to the north shops to do some shoe shopping for her. But, I got sidetracked and drove on by and ended up just driving us both up there. First we went to Target where the hunt for shoes failed, but I bought a bunch of blank cards and bags to put my bridesmaids' gifts in. Then we headed to Payless, Old Navy, Famous Footwear and Petco. Obviously we didn't go to Petco to look for shoes, but rather just to look at the animals. The north shops were disappointing in the shoe department, so Amber and I stopped by Sonic for some cherry limeades. They were delicious and it happened to be during the "happy hour" whatnot time so we ended up getting the drinks basically 2 for 1 since we weren't expecting it...woot! I finally took Amber back to her car, then we headed to the mall for more shoe searching. We looked at Rue 21, Deb and JCPenney and didn't find anything. Then we headed to Kmart. Guess what?! We found some brown slip-ons just like Amber wanted. Sounds great, eh? Nope, Amber's feet are too skinny. The 8s were too small, but the 8 1/2s were too wide. So, we went to Wal Mart with even less luck.

All in all it wasn't a very successful shopping day, but it was a successful hanging out with Amber day.

When we were at Wal Mart Miles called and said he was going to shower then head to my house. He asked if I wanted to cook and we all decided on spaghetti. So, I bought all of the things needed for spaghetti and meatballs and headed home. When Amber and I got to my house I saw that Aimee, Josh and Collin were there, so basically that meant that we were cooking out. Miles ended up stopping by Wal Mart on his way over to pick up some chicken, and we just ate with my family then ended up getting some Cabana. I think tomorrow night when I get off work I am going to cook spaghetti for Amber and Miles. I'm excited...I like spaghetti.

So, now I am trying to slowly and politely wake up Miles for the night. He has about 5 minutes to get up and around before he needs to leave for work. I'm also doing some laundry. It's amazing how fast it all piles up.

Maybe I'll be in bed by 1:00 tonight?!
Today is definitely a day when I'm going to get a lot of things done...I hope!

I just woke up about 10 minutes ago (I got to sleep around 3), so I really need to get on it.

So the things I need to get done today are as follows:

-Call for a hair appointment
-Pick up the lighters and Miles' ring (finally)
-Take money to the bank
-Take Amber to buy flats (her birthday is tomorrow)
-Drop off my résumé and leave behind at Roderick (they had a thing in the classifieds yesterday saying they needed a graphic designer/drafter, it was entry level, and they would train the right person...sounds good to me)
-Clean all the trash and wrappers out of my car
-Get my references together for my résumé (this is something that I should have done, and that I should do before taking my résumé to Roderick, but I want to get it up there and I need to make sure it's okay with Jeannie, Teresa and Wanda from work if I use them as references.
-Buy stamps (I have a ton of thank you cards from bridal showers that I need to send out...not even to mention all of the graduation thank you cards I'll need to write/prepare/send...then wedding thank you cards...WHEN WILL IT END?!!)

That's all I have listed so far. I really should get my oil changed...but I think I will wait until my brother fixes my brakes and adds freon to my car. I don't want them to keep coming back in the lobby to tell me about all of the things that need to be fixed.

My lens should be here soon...woot.

Now I need to get ready for the day. Oh I hope all goes well.

Saturday, May 16, 2009

I hate sleeping with make up on.

So today I worked from 1-5. First it was super boring because nothing was going on and there wasn't an ad to work on for next week. Then it'd get really busy and I have three things going on at once (and people always call when I'm busiest). One of my managers rolled her eyes at me today. We had gotten busy and there was one person on checkouts (Katie had called in so Natasha opened on register 1 and Dana was on 3 but she was back helping out in garden). This manager walked up to the front and asked which register Dana was on, so I told her 3. (At this time I'm also checking out people, doing returns, and answering the phone, so mind you it's not like I'm just hanging around watching Natasha do all the work). She tries to open on register 2, and yells up to me, "There's no money on here." So I told her that Dana was on 3...sometimes people will jump on other people's registers if we get busy and there aren't any tills made, they'll just be running for a second, or if there isn't time to open a new I thought she wanted to know which register Dana was on because she was going to run on her money. (A little more background, Trenda had already run on register 1, so I had moved money from register 6 to 1 so it would be ready when Katie hypothetically came in, and Nicole had been running on register 2 until 3:00). She just said/asked, "So they didn't put money on 2 today?" So I told her that there is money on 4, and I hadn't had time to move it down yet. She rolled her eyes at me and closed the drawer.

Oy vey. It's not like I wasn't busy. And anyone can log onto a register and move tills around, that isn't something that I need to do. When I was on registers I would always have to log onto multiple registers to get money on the right one.

I think I just don't take kindly to people being rude when I didn't do anything to deserve it.

Anyway, after I got off work I rushed home and got dressed quickly. Miles met me here and we went to Adrian and Tia's wedding. It was a pretty nice ceremony, except the minister guy that officiated it read from The Message (which I think is a horrendous idea and for it to be accepted by a church leader scares me (my grandma said that her minister or preacher of sorts reads from The Message so she had gotten a version for Christmas so she could follow along with him...that made me sad)) and he gave them a sword. The ceremony itself wasn't too horribly long, but they did do a lot of stuff.

Our ceremony is going to be short and sweet.
-No songs in the middle of it
-No candle lighting (candles up front/unity candle)
-No flower girl
-No ring bearer

It will be walk - I do - I do - kiss - married - walk - eat.

My mom and I ordered the candy yesterday. I think it was yesterday. And I got an email saying that my lens has been shipped. I'm stoked.

Anyway, after the wedding Miles and I went to Cabana, picked up some ice cream then came back to my house and watched the game. Well, we didn't watch the whole game because we fell asleep. Miles is actually still sleeping in my bed (he hadn't gone to sleep yet today). His hours are going to be so messed up.

Friday, May 15, 2009

Today was a fairly productive day. Not as productive as I would have hoped. I didn't make it to the bank, the store to shop for bridesmaids, or to Creviston and Sons to pick up the lighters. But, I did get my jury duty form and Devon's wedding invitation in the mail, bought some food at Wal Mart, did a little laundry, worked on thank you cards for the bridal showers and cooked some chicken, rice and mashed potatoes.

Initially I bought the wrong chicken from Wal Mart. It was very frozen and after working on it for about 40 minutes, we decided that it was time to try another chicken. So, I headed back and found a completely unfrozen chicken for about the same price. I should have looked there the first time I was there! Mandy and I cooked the chicken, potatoes and rice (it took a long time) then ate. I'm still fairly full and have a bunch of leftovers. Guess what I'll be having for lunch tomorrow?

I'm not sure if I'll be going to Adrian and Tia's wedding tomorrow. I haven't decided. Miles said he'd go along with me, but it's at 5:30 and I assume that he'll be sleeping.

I want to get my hair cut like this:

It really isn't too far from how my hair has been cut before. The difference is that I just don't style it correctly. I should learn about how to do that...maybe.

I really, really, really need to exercise. I also really, really, really need to stop eating so much. I just keep eating...and I just keep not exercising. I just feel so lazy and blah. Maybe I'll start doing something. I actually think that cleaning my room would make me feel better. Whenever I get everything all cleaned up I feel like I want to be more productive.

I should go to bed.

I'm trying to keep myself busy.

I just feel productive. Not because I'm actually getting anything done, but because I make to do lists and actually accomplish the things on them. Mind you that the things on the list aren't complicated tasks and are things I should do without having to write them down. So far I have made to do lists for every day up til next Tuesday! They are as follows:

-Get wedding invitation ready to mail to Devon
-Order candy for the wedding
-Mail in my jury duty form (Oh yeah, I got a thing saying that I may have to do jury duty on June 15th)
-Buy chicken and potatoes for cooking with Mandy
-Possibly pick up the lighters Miles is having engraved at Creviston and Sons
-Do some laundry
-Get Adrian and Tia a wedding gift
-Make an appointment to get my hair cut

-Work 1-5
-Adrian and Tia's wedding (I don't know if I'll be attending the reception or not)

-Take Amber to buy some flats
-Possibly lunch with Amber? I mean, we'll already be out doing a little shopping
-Clean up my room
-Get my oil changed

-Get gifts for my bridesmaids
-Get gifts for people that have helped out a lot with the wedding stuff
-Clean up my room more (it takes days)

Oh! I ordered my lens! I'm pumped to get it in. I ended up spending a little more than I had planned ($215 rather than $160) but the lens that I did order apparently has the capability to take awesome macro shots. My justification for spending the extra $50 is that it's something that could help bring in money later. I just can't wait until it gets here so I can start messing around with it. I love figuring out new cameras and camera equipment. It makes me happy.

In other, completely unrelated news, Miles and I have been reading in Jeremiah recently. I must say that I'm really enjoying it.

I really should start looking for a job. I feel like it's not time yet. I don't know what I think will be the turning point and make me feel like it is time...maybe the wedding? I'm going to need to change my résumé to have my new address and last name when the times comes. The word on the street is that my mom is going to acquire an Adobe Creative Suite. I don't know if it'll be 2, 3 or 4 (hopefully 4 so I can open things from this past year on it). I don't know if it will ever really happen or not, but I do hope so. I could then start designing things for the fun of it. I think I'd like to maybe design some wedding invitations sometime. The next step is to find some people getting married...hmm...

I promised myself I'd go to bed earlier tonight. It's almost 3am and I'm tired, but not as tired as I should be. I keep editing a couple of pictures then playing either Word Challenge, Geo Challenge, or Who Has the Biggest Brain? Those games are addicting and I should stop playing them altogether.

For now though I guess I will edit a couple more pictures then actually head to bed. Now it's starting to storm so I really hope the power doesn't go out. Not that I'd know, but I don't want to have to reset my alarm clock when I wake up.

Thursday, May 14, 2009

I'm really just tired.

Yesterday was kind of a rough day. I won't go into it...but we'll just say I'm fairly exhausted from it. But, everything is peachy today.

I went to Cracker Barrel with Amber today. It was lovely! We both ate chicken fried chicken, mashed potatoes and green beans. I'm stuffed, but content. Tonight I work from 5 to 9:15 at the service desk. There should be an ad to work on, so that'll keep me busy. Hopefully we'll be pretty slow other than that. I don't like when it's busy.

Tomorrow I am going to do a little shopping for bridesmaids gifts, pick up the lighters that we got engraved for the best men, take my ring to get cleaned and looked at, then head to Mandy's to cook some chicken, rice and potatoes. I don't have to work so I'm pretty pumped at the day in general. I'll be even happier thinking about the food when I'm not full.

Tuesday I met Samantha at her future home. We looked at wedding photo ideas while I took notes of what she liked and didn't like. Then we headed to the museum. I'm SO EXCITED to take pictures at her wedding now. Like so very excited. I have so many ideas of what to photograph and how I'm going to have to positioned, and where I'm going to put them. Ohhhh, I hope that I'm feeling energetic that day and now timid so I can direct them sufficiently. I think this wedding will determine whether or not I want to pursue wedding photography or not.

Oh, oh, oh! I am going to buy a telephoto lens! I am thinking about this Nikkor 70-300mm f/4-5.6 Autofocus Lens that is $159.95. I got some money from graduation that I'm going to use for it. I'm stoked! I think I should buy it soon so I can have it for Samantha's wedding. Maybe I'll order it today?! Maybe.

Sunday, May 10, 2009

I graduated yesterday. The actual graduation was a fairly enjoyable time. I got pictures of and with a bunch of people that I'll probably never see again...which is a little sad. I'll definitely miss school friends. And as much as they messed up my sleeping schedule, I'll miss the extremely late nights working on things.

I talk about the same things every time I update this blog. It goes: school/graduation/wedding/employment. Well, today is no different.

Tomorrow I am going to get things done! My brakes are going out, I think, so it might be dangerous, but I'm still going to do it.
I need to take 4 zippos and my wedding ring to get engraved. Then I hope to stop by the mall and pick up some gifts for my bridesmaids. I'm thinking I'll get them each a necklace, but it won't be the same necklace. Amber's taste is a lot different than Aimee and Cassie's.
Most likely before doing those things I am going to go request June 6th off from work because that will apparently be the day of my "bachelorette party". We're going to eat at Cracker Barrel then doing something else after that. I'm excited to eat some chicken fried chicken.
After I'm done with those things, I'm going to go to Mandy's, I think...or maybe somewhere else?, and take some pictures of Isaac, Abbie and Malachi. Hopefully it's nice outside.

Tomorrow evening I don't really have plans. I'm sure the royals are playing and Miles and I will hang out, watch the game and eat some food.

Tuesday I am going to meet Samantha at her future home. We're going to look through a CD of wedding pictures (ones that I didn't take but have saved from the internet for ideas) and discuss the pictures for her wedding. Then we're going to go to Albrecht-Kemper to look around. It's where they are getting married and I think it'd be a good idea to kind of take notes of where I want to take pictures before the actual wedding day. If you can't tell, I really want to do a good job for them.

Wednesday and Thursday nights I'm working from 5-9:15.

Friday I am going to go to Mandy's and we're going to make chicken, rice and mashed potatoes. We've made this before but Mandy basically did all of the work, minus mashing the potatoes and measuring out the rice. So, this time I'm going to buy the food and do much more than I did before. I'm completely excited. I like to hang out with Mandy and I like to eat chicken, rice and mashed potatoes. It's a perfect match!

Saturday I work from 1-5. I hate working those hours. It's always busier and from generally 4-5 we don't have a 2000 (aka stock boy) to tend to the needs of everyone. At 5:30 Adrian and Tia are getting married at the First Christian Church downtown. Everyone from school is I'm thinking about possibly going. I think the biggest positive about me going is that I could take notes of what to photograph for Samantha and Shane. I don't know if Miles would want to go, though. If he does not, I may see if Cassie is going. Cassie and Tia are friends, but I'm thinking that if Cassie is going that she'll be going with her boyfriend, Camron. Oh well. I guess we'll see what happens.

For now I should dry my hair, read a chapter in Luke and eat some dinner before heading over to Miles' house for Bible study. Maybe next time I'll post pictures of graduation and/or some of my portfolio pages. Eh.

I've had a list of to dos that I planned on finishing up today. Of course I didn't, though. That would make too much sense.

I work tonight at 5. I feel like I haven't worked in forever, when really I haven't worked since Monday. It's been nice to have some time off. Wednesday I took pictures of Kristi. That was fun, but rushed. We were supposed to go around 2:30 or 3, but ended up going around 4. I needed to be back around 5 so I could watch Collin, so we didn't have too much time. I finished up editing them today. Woot.
Rayna, a girl that I go to school with and who also lives down the street with her boyfriend, my brother's friend, and David, my brother's friend, are going to have me take a few pictures of them for Mother's Day. I am going to do that at 4. I'm not exactly sure what they're really wanting, but hopefully I can come up with some ideas quickly since I will only have about half an hour.

I could definitely do this for a living. I just don't want to take pictures at weddings. Ugh.

Tomorrow is graduation. Yep.

It feels like I'm moving out.

Today is my day to get things done...kind of.

So far I've edited some pictures that I took of Kristi yesterday, took Trisha to Wal Mart and to get her car from Petty Johns (Pettyjohns?) and came to school to clean things up.  I've only cleaned out my locker and when I finish this I'm going to clean out my drawer for printmaking.

It is strange to know that I don't need to be here anymore.  I'm done, done.  Done for anyway.  Now it's time to find a job...ugh.  When I went with Trisha to Western Robidoux so she could find out about printing prices the lady told us to send them a résumé.  Miles tells me I should do that.  I guess I will eventually, but I don't really know if I want to.  The bad thing about not leaving St. Joe and having a degree in Graphic Design is that we really don't have much here.  I know that most places will be like RJ Promotions and there is no way I could do that full time.  I think I would just go crazy.  I guess I'll find something if I'm supposed to.  I'll pray about it.

I would like to take pictures, though.  I like to do that.  I just need ideas and the ability to tell people what to do.  I think to be a photographer you either have to be a jerk or a people person.  I don't think I'm either of those things.

Tonight I'm making Miles some chili.  I don't know if it'll be any good or not.  Probably not.  After I'm done with this whole school cleaning thing I am going to go get my work schedule for next week then go to Wal Mart to get stuff for it.  I had planned on going to the mall and getting a few Mother's Day gifts, but I don't know if I'll have time.  I guess I could always do that tomorrow before I go to work.

Oh!  In a totally unrelated subject.
I did not mean to post the same video twice last time.  I had embedded part two, I think, first then checked to see if it worked.  When I went back to edit my post the code didn't show up for it.  Blah blah blah, I ended up with it twice.  Oh well, I'm sure it will be okay.  But, speaking of those videos.  Here are two more videos from essentially the same study.

I have my printed portfolio done! I was at school until about 4:00 this morning printing, cutting and putting it together. Now all I have to do is: print CD labels, envelop labels for my leave behind, make my Illustrator files jpegs, burn 5 CDs, and write and print a cover letter. That's really not too much, and definitely doable today by 10pm. It's my last class ever! My goodness, how strange is that? We're going to have a mini "party" thing with food and such. I think I am going to run to Wal Mart before I head out to school for the day and pick up some cookies or something to contribute.

So, Ashley Abraham, a girl on MySpace and Facebook that has added Mandy, Miles and me because of our agreement with Family Radio has added a couple videos to her Facebook. They are of two different Bible studies that I happen to think are wonderful. They're both fairly quick.

Part 1:
Part 2:

There is one month and one week before my wedding! That's exciting! Even more exciting since I'll be out of school and more able to concentrate on it and getting everything pulled together. I need to decorate the candle holders, order the candy, buy more paper to print verses on, get the little squares cut out for the guestbook...and I'm sure there are a few more things that I can't think of.

I don't feel like I really have all the much to write. I'm sure I will soon enough, but all I can think about right now is how I need to take a shower and get ready to go to school for the day and finish up everything. So, I think I'll do that.
