Two in one day, within a few hours of each other? Have I gone mad?!

Today I was supposed to make my way to my parents' house to collect things from my previous bedroom so my brother can move in because his bedroom is about the size of a large closet...seriously. Well, that has yet to happen. Now it's 5:45 and I just got out of the shower a little bit ago. I assume Miles will be waking up in the next couple of hours, so I'm hesitant to leave home now.

I keep thinking of this. During the school year I was talking to people at school and I mentioned how whenever I like some, i.e. a band, tv show, etc. I have to know everything about it. For some reason, just liking it has never been enough for me. I think it started with Leonardo DiCaprio, but of course I was in 5th grade when I liked him, and the internet wasn't so popular then. Then it moved onto Nsync. I learned way too much about those guys and sadly I still remember probably 80% of it. Then Incubus! I don't remember as much of that as I do the Nsync information (strangely enough). These days I still do it. How sad. Now it's NCIS. Why do I do this?

Another time waster that I'm totally guilty of taking part in is watching YouTube videos. Videos about absolutely nothing. There are people that 'vlog' (web+log=blog video+blog=vlog) and I just keep watching them. Really, they're not very entertaining and they don't really have anything meaningful to really say.

Okay. Now I think that's really it for the day.
Harold Camping and James White are debating today and tomorrow. I listened today, but tomorrow I'll be working until 3 so I think I'll end up pretty much missing it.

I must say it's kind of frustrating, though it shouldn't be. James White says that the local church is the pillar and ground (he says bulwarks and support I think) of truth, and not God. He also says everything has to be understood in the original context it was used. He doesn't answer the question about God's promise to Abraham about the physical land he was seeing. Oy vey. Then he attacks Harold Camping instead of going to the scripture.

He also asks if we're supposed to believe that some things couldn't be understood correctly by anyone ever until it was revealed to some dude in Alameda, California. My question is, who were Noah, Abraham, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, etc? Oh well. I guess it's really not anything I should worry about. All I know is that I'm tired of hearing about batterydepot.com

In other, unrelated news, I am moving right along with wedding pictures. I'm starting on folder 10 (out of 13). I've found a much better way to go about this.

I just dumped black cherry kool-aid all over my mouth and lap. Ooops.

That link goes to "Black Heart Inertia" by Incubus. Incubus has been my favorite band since my junior year in high school. That song came out in April and I didn't know that it existed until like 3 days ago. I'm a horrible, horrible fan.

I guess that's it for now...? I always think I have a lot more to say before I start typing.

Occasionally I feel like a huge bum. I applied for that job at that courthouse. Update (kind of): they received 600 applications. Naturally, I haven't heard back from them. I did do a follow up call and the lady that answered wasn't at all helpful (after hearing that they had to many applicants, I now understand that she had probably received the same phone call a hundred times over). But, it's okay. I prayed about it (a bunch) and it's cool if I'm not supposed to be there.

I've made a Facebook photography page. I suggested the page to a few seniors that I know. I hoping some of them bite. There are quite a few seniors that I work with that I'm trying to snatch up. I think I might have caught Katie, but as of now she's it. Jay says maybe, but he might have his sister take his pictures. Bailey said she'd come to me if the pictures her mom took didn't come out good, but she likes them, so Bailey is a no (though I am hoping that I catch Jay and make his pictures good to catch an already gone Bailey). I don't think Preston really cares either way. I haven't really talked to Korby about it. I've talked to Tyler about his girlfriend who goes to DeKalb and will be a senior. Oh, I think I might have snatched Sarah's sister Lauren. I don't know if this whole thing is going to work, but I would like to think it will.
I'm going to take engagement pictures for Rebekah and Steven this coming Saturday. I'm excited for that and I need to pick a couple of locations for them because I don't think Rebekah will tell me either way where she would want to go. Then in January I'm going to take pictures at their wedding. I think that will be a pretty big project, but I guess it'd be good for me.

I went to lunch with Cassie on Thursday, I think. I was talking to her about babies and things of the sort. She said she wants to wait until she has her career set up before having a baby. I realized something about that statement. It really makes no sense. I've decided that I'm much rather not have a full time career outside of the home before having a baby. If not, it's like, okay I'm going to have a baby then make someone else watch it everyday of the week while I'm gone. No thank you, ma'am. How I think this will go is that I think there will be a time eventually when I make enough money (not a lot of money) each month to contribute to our family. If I get pregnant I'm not going to want to be working outside of the house, and I definitely won't want to be gone after/if I have a baby.
....And I would like to have a baby.
I really don't have anything that I'm waiting for.

I'm getting pretty good at this cooking thing.

Last night I made some pork chops (http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Famous-Pork-Chops/Detail.aspx) and they were delicious and super easy to make. I will be making those again in the not too distant future, I'm sure.

Today I've just been sitting around. Of course I've been editing pictures and things of the sort. I'm getting closer to being done with those wedding pictures, but I still have a ton more to do. I also re-sized some pictures I took of Kristi so I could upload them onto the Facebook photography account I've made. I am going to get all the information typed in on there before I publish the page. I hope to get a bunch of fans that I know either know a senior or are going to be seniors so I can get some business that way. Hopefully that works out.

Tonight I have to work from 6-10:15. It really shouldn't be too bad, but I'm really getting sick of having to close all the time. Monday I worked from 3-10:15 and Saturday I work 4-10:15. Actually I should go make sure I'm not mixing those days up. I was supposed to work Friday 8 to 4 in ladies wear. I gave the hours to Kristi then they cut them...so either way I don't have to work those anymore.

Monday I turned in my application and résumé to the courthouse. I would like to get that job, I think. I assume a bunch of people have applied for it though, I guess really the only thing I can do about it is pray. If I'm supposed to go there I will, and if not, then oh well. Maybe I'm supposed to be at Kmart.

I've decided that I want to exercise. I probably won't, but I definitely need to. I think I should start walking about the neighborhood here. Quite a few people walk, and there are sidewalks all over the place so that's good. Maybe I will.

Erin's birthday is next Tuesday. I'm really not sure what to get her. I just really don't know her well enough to get her something she'd really like other than a gift certificate, but those are boring to buy for people. I really want to make something, but I just don't know what. I know that she likes poppies, baked goods, American Eagle, Twixes, hoodies, Cheddar's, swimming...ummm...that's all I can think of now. She likes 311, Weezer, Regina Spektor, Incubus, kind of. But, I can't do anything with any of those. I really want to do something with poppies but as luck would have it, poppy season is over. Tomorrow I am going to go to Hobby Lobby and look around, hoping to find something I can do with that.

I guess for the time being I should just worry about getting ready for the day (even though it's already 2:30), getting some laundry done, and going to work.
I also need to ask Lexi about a copy right release. I know no one is going to print the wedding pictures unless I have one.

Today is my dad's birthday. Around 3 we're going to go over to my parents' house and make lasagna and spaghetti. It should be an okay time. My dad is fairly hard to buy presents for because he has everything he needs and he doesn't want much. The gift from Miles and me is a frame that holds three pictures and the pictures I'm going to put in it are of him and his friends Dave and Bob who he's known since college. They were both at my wedding and my mom had Lexi take some pictures of them. Then I also made him a card. I think he'll like them.

Last night we gave up my car. Okay, rewind. That's a horrible place to start this story.

My car has slowly been falling apart for quite some time. First my back tire frame thing was bent so my tire kept losing air quickly. Actually, before that it was leaking brake fluid for probably 6 or more months. It got to the point that I'd have to put brake fluid in everyday or my brakes would literally start to go out. One time my brother drove my car and didn't put any brake fluid in it when he was done. Then that night I got in the car and realized I needed some brake fluid...suprise! I was out. Miles and I were going to Olive Garden with my family that night for someone's birthday I think, and Miles wanted me to pick him up. On the turn into Olive Garden my brakes wouldn't work until I slowed down more. After leaving Olive Garden we went to Wal Mart to get more brake fluid, and also on the turn in I had to drive really fast in front of cars that were going the other way because I couldn't slow down. Finally my grandpa fixed that problem.
Then, I barely had heat in the winter...
Then, my tire frame thing was bent, and we didn't have a regular tire that would actually fit on my car so for the past however long I've been driving on a donut. I didn't notice that it was really that much smaller than the other tires until someone pointed it out to me.
Then, my brakes were like grinding really bad. It just sounded like metal on metal and it started to become harder to stop. Then, my brother fixed that problem.
Then, the back of my car would pop when turning right. Then it would pop when turning left, too. All the while my back tire is still going flat because it's a jerk. Then, yesterday it started to pop just when driving, not even turning or anything. My dad told me to take it to Miles' mechanic, but Miles and I had planned on handing my car back over to my parents anyway so we wouldn't have to pay the insurance on two cars instead of one. So, yesterday after I got off work Miles met me at their house and I moved things from my car to his car.
I liked me car even though most of the time I had it it had something wrong with it. Miles' car feels huge to drive because the neon was just so little.
Miles was always kind of upset at my parents for the way the dealt with my car. I would often tell them that something was wrong with it, and they'd say "oh well we'll get it looked at sometime" even when it was the brakes that wouldn't work. But when one of their cars had the tiniest problem, poor air conditioner for example, it was fixed quickly. Not fair! I'm over here almost dying every time I drive my car and they're not helping. Psh! Anyway, I still liked my car.

Tomorrow I'm taking an application and résumé to the court house. They had a thing in the classifieds for a full time and part time clerk. I am going to apply for the part time position. That'd give me time to take pictures and such, so that'd be nice. I think I'd like to have more predictable hours and a more regular schedule. I'd also make more there than at Kmart. I really don't mind working at Kmart though. Sure, I hate to do returns even though it's my job, but I do like the people I work with and I really love knowing how to do my job. But, I can learn something else.

Oh, oh! Also, my mom downloaded Adobe CS4 and got it to work! She gave me all the files and whatnot a couple of days ago. Miles installed it yesterday and finished it last night. I'm stoked to have Illustrator again. But, the sad thing is that now I have to upload all of the actions I use to edit pictures and I'm not sure what they're called so I have to upload way more than normal to find them. Then I need to download fonts...and find Microsoft Office so I can get the fonts that come with it.

I guess for now I should listen more carefully to these Bible studies that I've been listening to.

We finally have internet. I wanted to watch some videos on Youtube, but we don't have flash and I kept trying to download it but it never worked. Oh well, I'll survive for now.

It's basically 2am and I really should go to bed. I just don't want to...I'd much rather edit pictures than sleep, but I don't think that's going to happen.

I really don't feel like there is much to say, but it's probably because I'm tired.

Let's see...what has been going on.

The 4th was good. I was super stoked that I got the day off after switching hours with Trenda for Friday night instead of Saturday. She wanted time and a half and I wanted the time off...it worked nicely. Miles and I had a pretty busy day. First we went to Kmart and bought Collin an outfit, a pair of shorts, a jacket, a baseball glove with a ball, and a t-ball set. Then we went to Wal Mart to do our grocery shopping for the next couple of weeks. We called Aimee to see if she needed anything for Collin's party while we were there. She said either macaroni or potato salad. So, we picked up some macaroni salad. Then we got back to the apartment and put everything up and I realized that I didn't get Collin a card. I made him a card real quick (good thing he can't read yet) and wrapped his present. As I was walking to the computer/ping pong room to get my camera my mom called me and said to grab the grill brush from their house because the grill at the park was dirty. I blame my forgetting the macaroni salad and my camera on her phone call. I'm sure I would have remember those things.

Side note: I forget everything these days. Miles is headstrong on making sure the computer (computer itself, external hard drives, and speakers), all the lights, the coffeepot and the air conditioners are all turned off and the doors locked. Yes, they're all good things to do when leaving the apartment, but since I'm so afraid of forgetting to do one of those things I am constantly forgetting things.

Back to the story. We went to Collin's party and had a pretty good time. Really it was just everyone hanging around until we ate lunch, then cookies, then Collin opened his presents. I like him.

After his party we came back to the apartment for a little bit. I think I edited a few pictures while waiting around. At 6 we went to Miles' brother's house. We had dinner with Zach and Erin and Miles and Zach played some RBI Baseball and Megaman. At 8:30 we headed over to my parents' house and hung out with my family, Amber and a few others until about 11:30. It was a good 4th.

Not much else has happened.

We went on our honeymoon. It was wonderful in Oklahoma and Arkansas, not matter how odd that sounds. It was hot down there but pretty. When we left our cabins we left a thank you note and a tract. Tim, the father of the family who owns the place, sent Miles an email about how we can't trust what we're being taught and how we need to seek the teachings of a church and scholars. I just don't think he really understands what he's saying, but hopefully he'll be shown.

As for now I must sleep...pictures will just wait until tomorrow when I am actually awake.
