She's Beautiful!

Just look at that girl!

Ohhh, I like her!

I had originally intended on doing an actual update tonight. Now it's almost 2am and I've found that I don't really have anything to Maybe next time!

2.5 Hours

At Wal-Mart?! What?

Okay, so last night I went grocery shopping while Miles stayed home with the babes. We've been doing it that way lately since it's much easier than packing her up and taking her to the store for about an hour when you have no idea how she'll be. Well, I left for the store around 7:30 and didn't get home until 10. Literally. Okay, so literally I got home at 9:52, but you get the gist (which btw, should totally be spelled jist).
I don't know how that happens. Or, maybe I do. When I go alone I spend forever trying to find what I'm looking for...too long, some might say.

Here are the culprits:
-I had coupons for Sara Lee lunch meat, which Wal-Mart apparently doesn't sell.
-Miles wanted some Riesens, which Wal-Mart also didn't have.
-I had a WIC check for $10 in fruits and vegetables. I'm really only a fan of bananas, apples and red grapes. The bananas looked terrible, apples weren't too hot and all I saw were green grapes. The long and short of it all is that I spent probably 15 to 20 minutes trying to find the right combination of fruits and vegetables that would be eaten for $10.
-I need more nursing pads and naturally they didn't have the kind I get. The real kicker is that I didn't even see a place for them anymore.
-Wal-Mart is always out of the bread dough we use for pizza!

In other no-so-interesting news (that means all other news that I type is oh-so-interesting - don't get them confused!): I bought Parents' Choice diapers for Anna on accident the other day. Those crazy people at Wal-Mart decided to the packaging purple like Luvs. Really, who uses purple?! You've done this on purpose, Wal-Mart! Either way, we've been using them and my review of them so far is that they're okay. Their size two is quite a bit bigger than Luvs size two and they're not as cute. They're better than I expected, though.

Today at 3:30 I'll be going to Bible study at the Mays House of Doom (is that right?) and bringing Anna along. We usually have it at 5 or 7, but tonight it's been bumped up. I'm actually looking forward to cooking some dinner tonight so I'm quite happy we're doing it early. I don't know what I'm going to make, but I'm leaning toward spaghetti. Now, Aimee, don't laugh. I just think it sounds good! I have found a recipe for homemade french fries that I'm going to try sometime soon. For Christmas last year (as in '09) Justin got us a deep fryer that we haven't used...oops! We've had every intention of using it for the longest time but every time I think about it I just end up frying things in a pan. Now I have a specific reason to whip out that deep fryer! I'm excited for them.

Look how cute he is!

And look how adorable she is!

I stepped away from this to have her do some tummy time before her nap. I first lay her on her back then roll her over to her tummy. Most of the time she'll just hold herself up for a few seconds then lay her head down and chew on her hand. Today she held herself up higher than normal and almost rolled back over to her back! I was stoked and she did it a couple of times. Looks like tonight we'll be working on that more. Yay!

I think that's enough for now.

Miles and I rented and watched "Inception" tonight. It's hard to watch movies that require thought with a baby around. I think it being on the Almost Completely Incomprehensible No Matter What side of the spectrum made it a little easier to not pay too much attention to. If you miss 50% of the movie you know just about as much as you do if you see the whole thing.

Oh, babies.

She watched some of the movie with us and actually looked entertained. She's a funny girl, I tell you.

Speaking of the babes...she's sleeping right now. Her schedule is starting to form and it's amazing, though we spend the better part of the day trying to keep her awake until nap/bedtime. No more 10 minute cat naps for that girl. She gets to sleep pretty well and night and naps really well. It's nice to be able to put her in the co-sleeper and walk out of the bedroom and know she'll fall asleep. Lovely! I really should be heading in that direction very soon. I need to finish cutting my nails first. I have four . . .then sleep.

I do, however, leave you with cute baby:

And winter covered tree branch:

I think that's it for me. Though I would like to go around and take pictures sometime of just whatever...not that that is in any way related to anything.

Christmas! Dag Nabbit!

That is my lovely daughter.

Christmas has messed up this little girl's schedule something awful. There for a few weeks we had her on a pretty good schedule of nap for about 15-30 minutes around 10, eating around 11:30, bath at 12, then bed. First she was fairly okay with it, then she started to realize that all roads lead to bed and would get a little fussy when we walked into the bedroom. Then she got used to it and was sleeping really well.

Christmas eve we tried to lay her down around 10, which ended up being closer to 11 after bath time and everything. She fell asleep fast then woke up every 10-15 minutes after that and just kept getting angrier and angrier. She ended up falling asleep for the night at 3:30 and woke up around 9:45 to eat. Of course she slept again after that...but she slept for the majority of the day. Who can blame her? She sat through three fairly long car rides and everyone thought it a good idea to rock her to sleep. Blargh!

Christmas night she fought sleep again for a few hours. She's since gotten better, for the most part, about fighting sleep but not on the time thing. Luckily I haven't had to wake up too early for anything specific so we've been getting our sleep, just late into the day.

Two nights ago little lady went to sleep at 5, but didn't fight the sleep up until then. I think she just wasn't especially tired so she laid and looked at the painting on my tummy, a towel on the side of her cosleeper and her mobile.

Last night I planned on getting her to bed by 4, but of course that didn't happen. I've been trying a new way of getting her ready to sleep. We play a little, I do dishes while she sits in her bumbo seat (I think it makes her a bit tired since she has to sit up a little), she eats, gets a bath, then we go to bed. Since I've started trying to get her a schedule (around Dec 4) I've been reading a few chapters of The Bible to her. Usually she falls asleep while I read then wakes up about 20 minutes later for a minute or two then goes back to sleep for the night. Anyway...we did everything mentioned and got her to bed...but first she fell asleep while eating and was pretty out. I tried to burp her with no results so I figure I'd just go lay her down. Thinking that if she woke up it'd be no big deal because she was obviously tired and would go back to sleep while I read. Oh, heck no. Instead Anna decided to wake up and basically cry until 6. I burped her, got her a new diaper, calmed her down before putting her back to bed, took down the mobile because she acted like she didn't like it, turned off the humidifier, gave her gripe water, and tried to read to her again. Nothing worked. Finally after tears from both of us, I got my phone and turned on "Anna Miriam" by Miles. Of course, she stopped crying and just watched the video. She cried when it was over so I played it again, then played "Science Falsely So Called" which she tolerated but didn't like as much. I played her song one more time and she eventually calmed down enough to where I could lay down and we both fell asleep.

Today she woke up around 1 to eat and is was awake for about an hour. She's napping now and I have every intention of waking her up soon. I want to keep her awake for longer today so she'll hopefully be tired by midnight. If I could get her back on that schedule I'd be super stoked.

Just look at how cute she is! She was laughing at virtually nothing while I was taking pictures of her mobile.

In Other News

I took some pictures of Anna's Christmas presents from Miles and me. His present was much better than mine, though I do consider the mobile of doom to be one from me.

There was one more smaller part that opened and the piece in the middle that doesn't open. I figured that since they're for a baby the small red one is definitely small enough.

And Miles' music box takes the gold! It's amazingly precious and made me cry for a split second.

I think now I should probably do something edit family pictures that I took long ago. The good news is that I'm almost done! I feel bad when it takes me forever to get pictures done.

This is Urgent?

Maybe they should rethink the name. Heartland Urgent Care...with a 2+ hour wait? That's curious. I think Heartland Place to Wait and Get Mediocre Care would be a much better name.

Please excuse typos today...I'm doing this via tiny phone keyboard.

If I would have known I'd have to wait for at least two hours I probably would have stayed home. Let's just say I'm super glad I didn't bring Anna.

I'm here for what I suspect to be a UTI. Woo! It's luckily not too bad, at least during the day, but I do hope this wait is worth it.

I think Northland Women's Healthcare has me super spoiled when it comes to doctor's appointments. They're super fast and I miss it. The drive was the worst part but even with that I'd probably be done and home before I even get in an office today.

Okay, enough complaining from me today!

I think I'm going to get my shop up and running. I've gotten most of my stuff from art.i.facts so I can list it on there. I have a few things I need to go back and grab from there though, namely bangles I've made. There's a much bettr chance they'd sell on etsy than in town. And I could totally charge more on etsy than I could at art.i.facts. We'll see how it goes. People in town just don't have a need and/or want for things I make. Jerks!

I feel like if I keep going I'll lose everything I've typed so I'll end here.
